Available Program Volunteer Roles

🧑‍🎤 Social Group Leaders: Facilitate engaging social activities tailored to specific age groups, such as teens or young adults.
🧑‍🏫 Peer Mentors: Be a supportive peer for young adults and adults, helping them build confidence in social and community settings.
🧑‍💻 Administrative Support: Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our programs running smoothly.

Board of Directors

Serving on our Board of Directors is an opportunity for passionate individuals to shape the future of Autism Support of Kent County. Board members provide strategic guidance, oversee the organization’s growth, and ensure we meet our mission to support individuals with autism and their families.

  • Responsibilities: Attend monthly board meetings, contribute to organizational planning, support fundraising initiatives, and act as an ambassador in the community.

  • Ideal Candidates: We welcome individuals with experience in non-profit management, education, healthcare, finance, law, marketing, and other fields relevant to advancing our work.

  • Commitment: Board terms are typically 2-3 years, with options to renew.

Fundraising Events

Join us in making our large-scale fundraising events a success! Each event supports our programs and community efforts, helping us raise vital funds to expand our outreach and impact.

  • Art Auction & Gala Dinner: Help create a memorable evening by assisting with setup, registration, and cleanup. Volunteers are also needed to support the event's flow by guiding guests, monitoring auction items, and assisting with program activities.

  • Walk for Autism: Support our largest annual community event by assisting with setup, registration, event direction, and tear-down. Volunteer roles include participant check-in, course guidance, water station attendants, and event cleanup.

  • Golf Outing: This popular fundraising event requires volunteers to help with registration, course support, logistics, and assisting with closing ceremonies and cleanup.
