Walk for Autism

Join us in May at LMCU Ballpark for our Walk for Autism—an uplifting day of unity and family fun. Explore our Resource Fair, enjoy family-friendly activities, and witness teams competing to raise the most funds for ASK. The highlight? A heartwarming walk around the ballpark and baseball field, symbolizing our journey toward a more inclusive world. Every step and donation directly supports ASK's crucial programs. Lace up and step with us toward a brighter future for the autism community.

Event runs from 12-3pm.

Purchase a ticket for $35 or raise $35 to participate in the event. Ticket includes access to walk activities, lunch and an event t-shirt.

Individual fundraiser prizes: 

  • Raise $50: ASK Water Bottle

  • Raise $100: ASK Bag

  • Raise $200: Get a Customized sign at the event.

  • Raise $500: To be announced!

  • Raise $1,000: VIP Tent Access

Fundraise and walk with a team! There will be prizes for the top fundraising teams.

Rose is an attorney with Coonen Law, PLLC and focuses her practice on estate planning and business law. Rose brings a holistic approach to serving her clients to ensure that they have estate plans that work when they need it most and to bring harmony in the most difficult times.

Her passion is serving children and families with special needs and Rose has authored the book “Estate Planning when you have a Child with Special Needs: Plan Your Estate Well, Protect Their Future” to serve as a guide for parents.

This group is open to any child ages 6-11, who has an autism diagnosis or is awaiting diagnosis. A parent or guardian must accompany each child.

SUPPORT GROUP: Everyone welcome to attend!

Join us for our November Support Group!

This group is open to anyone, including children if they can amuse themselves. We don’t provide child care, however.

November’s speakers will be Cassandra and Nick from Michigan Rehab Services, or MRS.

MRS helps with job training, job coaching, job placement, and much more. It’s never too soon to be thinking about life after school.

There will be plenty of time for families to talk with each other, too.

We will meet in the ASK office, which is located outside of the auditorium of the Special Olympics Building.

Enter the building via the Main Entrance, from the EAST parking lot, and head down the main hallway through the double doors, and you’ll see the ASK sign.

October Family Event: Trip to Post Family Farms!

SAVE THE DATE for our October Family Event: a Trip to Post Family Farms!

The entire family is invited to join their family member with autism at this event, for just $8 per person!

Post Farms, Hudsonville, Monday, October 2, from 5-7pm.

***Arrive by 5:30pm to go on the group hayride!

Events include a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, a small pumpkin, cider, donuts, farm animals, pig/ pumpkin train rides, playground area, tube slides, and a straw play area!

This is fun for all ages, and a great way to enjoy fall fun as a family!

TEEN & YOUNG ADULT SOCIAL GROUP: BOWLING & PIZZA PARTY!

Our Teen and Young Adult Social Group is a great time! Join us for fun and friendship!

This group is open to anyone ages 12 and up.

A guardian must attend, too, but siblings aren’t allowed, as we like to give these guys and gals space to make their own friends. :>

September’s event is a Bowling and Pizza Party at Spectrum Lanes.

Cost is $15 per bowler for pizza, pop, bowling and shoes. (Parents don’t need to pay, but can’t bowl.)
